Audition 2018: American Fork Community Theater – Footloose

American Fork Community Theater is excited to announce auditions for our spring production of, “Footloose,” directed by Beth Bruner.

-Wednesday/ Nov 14th @ 6:00- 9:00 PM
-Thursday/ Nov 15th @ 6:00- 9:00 PM

Callbacks will be held by invitation only on November 17th from 10:00- 2:00. Dancing will take place at callbacks only. More details to follow after auditions.

AUDITION LOCATION: American Fork Arts Institute

Please bring a hard copy of a theatrical resume and a photograph (the photograph does not have to be a formal head shot).

Please prepare a 1-minute monologue that reflects the character you are auditioning for (not from “Footloose”). If you want to join with a partner and bring a 2-minute memorized scene instead, that is also acceptable, however individual songs are requested.

Auditioners are also asked to prepare to sing 18- 32 bars of a Broadway song in the style of the show. We will have an accompanist there but you can also bring your own MP3 or cds. Plugins for MP3 players or phones/pads will be provided. NO A CAPPELLA singing, please. If you bring a pre-recorded track, please find the karaoke or minus track without singing. We want to hear your voice, NOT the voice of the artist who recorded the song.

Audition 2018: On Pitch Performing Arts – Aida

Auditions for Aida at On Pitch Performing Arts, Layton’s ONLY Live Theatre!

Come Join us at OPPA!  and play one of your Dream Roles in AIDA!

Auditions will be November 7th from 6:00-9:00 pm

Callbacks will be November 10th from 10am – 12pm.

Ages 8 and up. Please come to your audition with the following:

-A song that is 16 bars (NO LONGER than 30 seconds) of a Broadway Style Musical. Please bring your music on an IPOD or Music Player. NO ACCOMPANIST Will be provided.
-Headshot, please bring a picture if you don’t have a headshot

Please bring ALL conflicts! Rehearsals start November 17th and will generally run Tue, Wed, Thur Nights and Saturday Mornings.

Show Dates and Times:

February 1-2, 4, 8-9, 11, 14-16 at 7:30pm, *with one matinee on February 16 at 2pm

We may double cast depending on conflicts.

Audition 2018: Ziegfeld Theater – School of Rock


The Ziegfeld Theater announces open auditions for the fresh-from-Broadway rock comedy “School of Rock”, Directed by Morgan Parry, Music Directed and choreographed by Heidi Potter Hunt.

PERFORMANCES: Jan 17 – Feb 1, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30 PM with Saturday matinees at 2:00 PM.

ROLES: All roles available for ages 18 and under ONLY. Must be 18 or younger on audition day. This is being produced under a special license specifically for students. Some roles may be double-cast and/or understudied. Colorblind casting – actors of ALL races and skin color are HIGHLY encouraged to audition. AUDITIONS: Tuesday Oct 9th, 7-10 PM – By appointment only. To schedule your audition, go to ZigArts.com and click “Audition,” under the “Join Us” tab. Invitation only callbacks will be held Wed. Oct 10th.

***If you are absolutely unavailable to audition on these dates, let us know as soon as possible so that we may arrange an alternate audition time for you, if possible.***

LOCATION: Ziegfeld Arts Academy  – 2440 E 6600 S, in Uintah (at the intersection of US-84 and US-89, behind Pitcher Sports and Best Western)

ALL AUDITIONERS: Bring a printed copy of your resume and a headshot or recent picture, if you have them. Prepare a 30-60 second selection from a rock song or Broadway rock musical. Sheet music is required; accompanist provided.

INSTRUMENTALISTS: Those wishing to audition for one of the band member roles (bass, guitar, keys or drums) please ALSO prepare the corresponding side, downloadable from our website audition page. Drummers may submit a video for the instrumental portion, but should plan to attend the audition for the singing portion. Videos should be submitted to bonnieromney@zigarts.comBEFORE Oct. 9.

***Please no CD’s, mp3’s, or a cappella auditions. You are welcome to sing a selection from the show, but please bring a second, contrasting audition selection from a different musical (which we may or may not ask you to sing).***

PRODUCTION TEAM: Those wishing to work as designers, builders, assistant directors, choreographers, music directors, technicians, and stage managers should fill out the Production Team Form on the website. Go to ZigArts.com and click “Audition,” under the “Join Us” tab, then scroll down and click the “Fill out a Production Team Form” button.

REHEARSALS will begin Saturday, October 13 and will usually be held at Ziegfeld Arts Academy. Rehearsals are typically Mon-Thurs evenings and Saturday mornings until the week before opening week, when rehearsals will be nightly. Production meetings are currently TBD.
